Swiss Plains

I'm looking at a scene in Google Earth. You can see it if you go to 47 degrees 20 minutes 59.68 seconds N, 9 degrees 2 minutes 30.85 seconds E at an eye altitude of 8999 feet, looking vertically down, with north at the top. The coordinates appear across the bottom of the image, as you move around. Adjust this so you see Dottingen (a village) in the upper right hand corner.

For some reason I feel I know the name Dottingen. I mean, I spent time in Switzerland, but I have no idea why Dottingen sounds familiar, it just does. It's kind of fun.

I just noticed there's a place marker, "user created content," for the "municipality" of Mosnag. Don't miss it!!!

If we study these images, it might enable us to connect to, and even become part of, the Swiss economy, which would be nice. Same could be said for anyplace.

It's weird, writing, at this stage, because I don't know of anyone who's reading my posts, but I guess something could happen if I keep going.

Ray Noble ... Wisdom of the Earth (? ... ?) ... story told by John Harmon tonight, to Marian McPartland, on her Piano Jazz ... His friend, "a deep thinker," struck by a tumor, had a vision ... "we restore the waters of the earth," using ceremony ... "he already envisioned a goddess of the waters ... we also cleans our spirits ... and he also" said we were bringing women more into the mix of governing us ... since we men have sort of made a mess of things. Goodness.

Why Write?

Some people think you can save your but by writing stuff down, even if no one is going to read it. Some of them think that it matters what you write down. The theory is, things you describe will happen in your life.

Can something like an excelent windup watch that will last me decades and looks really, really great "happen?" Well, a person could receive one. A person could receive enough money to buy one. A person could succeed in bringing his design for one to market.

I'm just going with whatever comes to mind as I set out to write, here.

I just went to Amazon to see what they might have in watches. The search turned up nothing of the least interest in watches, but, eventually, it gave me this. It's funny. (The link is to my associate pages. Please buy it up!)

And this. (Warning: it's a little gross.)

Well, that's one hour of blogging. It takes time.
